Don’t worry, this is not some tooth decaying boy-meets-girl romantic comedy. No, were talking about heart-pounding, rubber-burning, in-your-face GT class racing action!

Watch  Patrick Dempsey: Racing LeMans Wednesday, August 28 at 10 p.m (Pacific) on Velocity.



This four-part documentary brings to light, the intense discipline, work and skill needed to compete in France's 24 hours of LeMans. Often referred to as the ‘Mount Everest’ of racing events, this legendary endurance race tests the limits of any driver’s mind and body.

The list of actors turned race car drivers is short, but still nothing to scoff at. Dempsey has big shoes to fill, as he attempts to follow in the footsteps of Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, and James Garner.



And if you’re dumb enough to actually try the ‘Patrick Dempsey’ film trick, don’t blame us when you find yourself with a big bowl of popcorn on your head and an ice-cold diet coke in your lap.
